The Welsh equivalent of St Valentine is St Dwynwen celebrated on the 25th of January.
Dwunwen was in love with a prince called Maelon who her father did not approve of. Because she could not marry him she prayed to forget him. An angel visited her and magically erased the prince from her memory, transforming him into a block of ice. She was so sad she made three wishes: the first was Maelon to be thawed, the second that all lovers should have their hopes and dreams come true and the third that she would never marry.
She founded a convent on Llanddwyn in Anglesey. It is believed that the sacred fish and eels of the well foretell the love and happiness of lovers.

Hello, just a quick message from us here in the woollen mill on the coast.

We have been invited by the lovely people organising “Cardiff Design Festival” to get involved with exhibiting in the Old Library on the Hayes in Cardiff.

We thought we and you could have some fun colouring in our beautiful patterned Welsh sheep – your hard work, once finished will join the flock of other sheep – pride of place on the gallery wall…

It is all for fun and you can be any age to join in (you are never too old to enjoy a bit of colouring)!

We all showed together in the amazingly cool and elegant Zegna company building on the Via Savona in the Tortona district of Milan. It was an extraordinary show; full of vitality and stuffed with design, some of it out of this world, most of it good but some of it unbelieveably bad.

        Of course DesignJumction was easily the best and it certainly attracted a lot of attention. Word of mouth is important here, and we became a must see.

Francois Bernard the designer chose to feature our work in the “Unplugged” area. We had a very long wall displaying our throws. 

We used the show to preview our new bag range which will launch this autumn. This is our satchel bag which will retail for £115 and is the on trend style for this season. It will be available in selected colours and we’ll keep you posted.
