We were deeply honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, a champion of British textiles, to celebrate the rich heritage and craftsmanship of Welsh textile manufacturing - a tradition we are immensely proud to uphold at Melin Tregwynt. 

Originally produced at our mill in the 1950s, our Vintage Star design has stood the test of time and today, is one of our most popular fabrics. Over the years, it has become a favourite of interior designers, is featured in luxury hotels worldwide and, most recently, has been spotted in several rooms of an Omaze house.

Vintage Star Carreg Las is more than a beautiful fabric - it is a tribute to our Welsh heritage and has been created in support of the 2026 National Eisteddfod - to be hosted in Pembrokeshire with 10% of sales to be donated to the event.

As the nights start to draw in this autumn, a Melin Tregwynt wool blanket is the perfect companion for the colder months ahead. Woven from soft and snug lightweight Lambswool or cwtchy traditional-weight Pure New Wool, our wool blankets will see you through the seasons.  

Did you know our iconic St. David’s Cross was first introduced in the 1980s? Since then it has proved a popular choice and has remained in our collection ever since. It has made appearances on-screen, including shows like Celebrity Big Brother and more recently, we’ve collaborated on exclusive colourways with TOAST and Gladstone / Hellen, adding fresh interpretations to this timeless pattern. 

Hosted at Tregoyd Farm, NSA Welsh Sheep 2025 brought together all sectors of the sheep industry to connect, socialise, and share the latest industry information and innovation. 

April 2025 marks Melin Tregwynt’s third anniversary as an Employee Ownership Trust. To celebrate, we have launched a new Vintage Star colourway – Cynefin.

She joined us in 2022 and works in the mill cafe, serving food, taking payments and making coffee. She's very good with our customers and is a great addition to the team.

Over the last  2 years, in collaboration with British Wool and Mentor Mon, we've been involved in a community driven project with the aim of developing a 100% Welsh and fully traceable weaving yarn.

Key industry figures gathered at the National Wool Museum on 16th October for the unveiling of the new Welsh Wool logo and the launch of an exciting new yarn project showcasing the best in Welsh Wool.
