A small family owned company first established in 1912 Melin Tregwynt combines the authentic craft tradition of the Welsh doublecloth and the carthenni’, blanket with beautiful colour and innovative modern design. Today over 20 local people work in the company and their unique range of blankets, throws and cushions can be found worldwide; from hip hotels to design led-stores, on film and TV advertisements. We offer the following:

·         Wide width weaving of blankets, throws and bedspreads is a speciality, along with multi-shaft and double cloth weaves. Cloth (as meterage or finished items) can be produced in widths from 150cm up to 240cm, and in single or complex double cloth structures. Production capacity is approx. 250m/week or 1000m month.
·         We are highly specialised in weave design and can work with you to create exclusive products for your own label, along with the option to test market small runs. These special runs can be as little as 60 - 100 metres (30 blankets upwards). You can also order cloth by the metre.
·         Lead times vary depending on designs chosen but we estimate 8-12 weeks on average. This can increase when we produce especially customised designs and special colours.
·         Please note that for hotel or special design projects we normally ask for 30% deposit and the balance payable on delivery. We can provide further information or full sized samples on request.

CONTEMPORARY GRAPHIC designs in lambswool doublecloth – supplied to the Harbourmaster Hotel, St. Bride’s Hotel, Llety Bodfor, Castell Deudraeth, Hurst House, the Cawdor Arms, and the Morgan Hotel in Wales, the Tulip Inn, the Methodist International Conference Centre and the Breast Care Centre at St. Bart’s in London.

  

LUXURIOUS METRO fabric in lambswool/angora, which makes a beautiful lightweight blanket - supplied to the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, the Mondrian in Los Angeles and the Institute for Ireland in Europe, Belgium.  Metro can also be supplied quilted and backed with linen for a luxurious bedspread as used at Duchally Lodge, Gleneagles.

CUSTOMISED In addition to our large stock range the company also offers their clients exclusive own label and customised designs in short runs of 50 - 500 metres. Special designs have been made for the Alias Hotels Group, Kimpton Hotels, Marriott Hotels, the Brigstow Hotel, the Trevillion Hotel, the Grand Hotel, Jersey and The Groucho Club in Glasgow.
